Running for a good cause: GEZE donates €4,000 to the Ditzinger Lebenslauf

This year, more than 90 GEZE employees took part in the Ditzinger Lebenslauf, which took place from 28 March to 6 April in both a face-to-face and a hybrid form. For 26 years, hundreds of people have been running for a good cause every year on this occasion. The Leonberg-based company's employees have been taking part for over 15 years and this year, too, they collected a considerable number of kilometres and thus money for the fight against cystic fibrosis. It goes without saying that the family business takes part every year. This year, the employees raised a total of 4,000 euros.

This year, GEZE employees ran more than 4,500 kilometres, more than double the distance covered in the previous year – an impressive achievement. More than 90 runners from the Leonberg-based specialist in innovative door, window and safety technology took part in this year's charity run organised by the Ludwigsburg-Heilbronn regional group of the Baden-Württemberg regional association of the Cystic Fibrosis Association. Around 30 of them were there on 6 April.

A tradition by now

The event, which has been taking place since 1999, has also been held in a hybrid format since 2023 with the interACTIV variant, so that people all over the world can run for a good cause. This also allowed GEZE employees to decide when and where they would cover their kilometres for a good cause. The family business donated a total of 4,000 euros for the performance of its runners.

This event has become a tradition for us. We have been taking part in the Ditzinger Lebenslauf with GEZE for over 15 years, and it is impressive every year to see how sporty and committed our employees are here.

The campaign came closer to its crowning finale on 6 April, when there was a fun run on a circuit in the Glemsaue in Ditzingen. The event was accompanied by a festive supporting programme with musical contributions. The donations raised will be used primarily for research and therapies to help the approximately 8,000 people fighting the incurable disease cystic fibrosis.
