Trainings for building operators

Operators are obligated under applicable federal state building codes to keep their building systems in an operational, functional condition at all times. Section 3 Model Building Ordinance: (1) "Facilities shall be arranged, built, modified and maintained so that public safety and order, especially life, health or natural habitat and livelihood are not endangered.“ For hold-open systems used to hold open fire and smoke protection doors, this means: during the first year after commissioning, these systems must be inspected monthly, and if free from defects must be inspected every 3 months by the operator in subsequent years.

In our online seminar GS 450 “Instructions for testing hold-open systems”, we explain how a self-locking fire protection door works and how to set GEZE door closers and hold-open systems, as well as the content and implementation of monthly tests for these systems. The seminar is designed for building engineering personnel who are required to carry out this monthly inspection on doors with hold-open systems pursuant to DIN 14677 and the general construction technique permit.

Our 2-day practical seminar GS 470 “GEZE hold-open systems system customer” is directed towards building engineering personnel who want to complete recurring tests and maintenance annually in accordance with DIN 14677 as well as general construction technique permits on GEZE door closers and hold-open systems.

Our 3-day practical seminar GS 476 is directed towards building engineering personnel who want to complete annual recurring testing and maintenance on GEZE automatic door systems in accordance with EN 16005, ASR A 1.7 and AutSchR.
