Single-action door

Synonym: single-action door

A single-action door is a swing door where the door leaves are attached on one side. The door hinges are located on this side and the lock is on the opposite side. Single-action doors are the most commonly used type of door.

Activation devices

Activation devices are components for controlling automatic doors, and depending on the setting, they activate either the automatic opening or closing of the door.

Fail-secure electric strike

A fail-secure electric strike is locked when no current is being applied. The electric strike is unlocked when power is reapplied. A humming noise can be heard during activation with alternating current operation, but not with direct current. The counterpart to the fail-secure version is the fail-safe version

Synonym: automatically activated door

Automatic doors are doors equipped with an automatic drive that opens and closes them.

BACnet

BACnet is an open, neutral communication protocol for building automation and control networks. It serves to simplify communication between products from different manufacturers.

Hinge

Synonym: door hinge, door stop

The hinge is the part of the door that connects the leaf to the frame.

Opposite hinge side

The opposite hinge side of a door is the side of the door opposite to that where the hinge is located.

Hinge side

The hinge side of a door is the side of the door where the door fittings are mounted and visible.

Barrier-free construction

With barrier free construction, attention is given to avoiding obstacles and barriers when designing and installing access points, including doors.

Fitting

Fitting is a general term for components, usually made of metal, that facilitate the opening and closing of doors and windows, e.g. hinges and locks.

Movement detectors

A movement detector is a non-contact sensor that identifies movement in front of the door and as a result, opens it.

BIM object

BIM objects are virtual 3D models of components that are used for planning, creating and managing buildings with BIM.

biometric ID

Biometrics refers to the study of the measuring of physical body characteristics. Biometric processes are used in access control to identify or to authenticate a person.

Floor lock

Floor locks are used for locking automatic sliding doors. These locks are installed on the door near the floor.

Floor springs

A floor spring (or a floor-mounted door closer) is a door closer recessed in the floor. The closing action takes place from the bottom edge of the door. A floor spring not only serves to close the door, it also bears the weight of the door.

Boxer pivot bearing

The GEZE Boxer pivot bearing is an accessory for integrated door closers in the Boxer series. It enables doors with no fire or smoke protection functions to be fitted with a flexible opening restrictor and/or mechanical hold-open function.

Fire protection closer

Fire protection closer is the general term for doors, gates, or flaps that serve to close off rooms and at the same time prevent the spread of fire and/or smoke.

Building Information Modelling

Synonym: BIM

Building Information Modelling is a software-based method for planning, constructing and managing buildings. All building data is digitally recorded, modelled, and combined, and the building is visualised as a computer model.
In some countries, BIM is standard for constructing public buildings.

Roof smoke exhaust system

A roof smoke exhaust system directs smoke out of a building through roof windows.

Ceiling-mounted detector

Ceiling-mounted detector is the general term for smoke detectors, thermal detectors, etc. that are fixed to the ceiling.

Direct opener

Direct opener is a general term for various types of drives that are used to open windows. The drives are installed on the main or the secondary closing edge of the window so that the drive motion is applied directly across the opening width. The windows are said to be ‘exposed’ (opened).

twin coil technology

Twin coil technology from GEZE allows for a greater range of operating voltages for electric strikes compared to standard coils. At the same time, this also reduces the variety of options, leading to lower inventory costs.

Swing door

Synonym: swing door

A swing door is a door where the leaf is attached to one of the longitudinal edges of the door frame. In this case, the spin axle is vertical. Swing doors can be designed as double-action and as single-action doors.

Swing door drives are used for the automatic opening and closing of swing doors.

Pressure ventilation system 

Synonym: PVS

A pressure ventilation system is a system that ensures smoke and hazardous gases are dissipated from the building in a controlled manner in case of a fire. It also ensures a supply of fresh air. The goal is to keep escape and rescue routes clear of smoke, and therefore usable. The term Smoke protection pressure system (SPPS), used in the past, is considered outdated today as modern PVS systems cover a wider range of functions going beyond just keeping areas clear of smoke.

Lever lock

Lever locks are used when doors also have to be opened in the opposite direction to the normal flow, in the event of an emergency. The outside handle for this kind of lock is disengaged from the locking mechanism while the panic function is activated in the emergency exit flow direction. If a corresponding signal from an access control system has been given, the outside handle is either disengaged permanently or for a certain period of time so that the door can be opened against the emergency exit flow direction.

Burglar resistance

Burglar resistance characterises buildings that make use of components that serve to impede break-in attempts.

Toughened safety glass

Synonym: ESG

Toughened safety glass is comprised of a single pane of glass, which has been heat-treated using a special process, to give the glass increased shock and impact resistance.

mortice lock

As opposed to other sorts of locks, mortice locks are inserted into a tubular-framed door or door leaf so that only the face plate is visible on the closing edge of the leaf. Normally, a mortice lock has one lock latch and one bolt.

Electric linear drive

Synonym: electric drive

An electric linear drive (abbreviated: electric drive) is a window drive with an electric motor. This motor converts electrical energy into motion energy, or, more specifically, into a linear movement.

Electric hold-open device

An electric hold-open device is a hold-open device that is integrated into the guide rail. It works using magnetic energy.

Electric strike

Together with the strike plate, an electric strike is the counterpart to the lock latch. Electric strikes unlock the door through an impulse without the user having to activate the lock latch using a handle. This is used, for example, with a swing door drive, where access is controlled through an access authorisation or as part of an intercom system.

Latching action

Latching action is a force that neutralises the latching speed shortly before a door completely closes, so that it can latch shut. This allows for any possible resistance to be corrected by the acceleration of the closing speed, shortly before the closing cycle is completed.

Unlocking lever

The unlocking lever, also known as the daytime setting, is an optional lever for the mechanical permanent unlocking of the electric strike. If a door is unlocked by activating this lever, it is only locked when this lever is activated again.

Ventilation

Ventilation refers to the targeted measure of allowing air to exit from an interior space and the channelling in of fresh outside air.

Lock latch guide

The lock latch guide is an option for improving the opening behaviour of the door. Guiding the lock latch at the level of the strike plate prevents canting, even on flush closing doors.

Folding door

Folding doors consist of two or more leaves that are connected by jointed hinges. These leaves can be pushed together to form a zig-zag (or effectively folded) shape.

Façade

The façade refers to the designed exterior surface of the visible building envelope.

Window safety system

Window safety systems serve to minimise dangers caused by the pinching and shearing edges of an automatic window.

Window leaf

A window leaf is the moving part of the window.

Window frame

A window frame is the fixed part of the window.

Window technology

At GEZE, the area of window technology encompasses products created for manually ventilating buildings, e.g. fanlight openers, electrical window drives and smoke and heat extraction systems.

Hold-open system

A hold-open system refers to equipment used in the event of a fire, which serves to shut fire protection closers that are otherwise held open to facilitate accessibility. In the event of a fire, the function of the door closer is deactivated in a controlled manner and the automatic closing function of the fire protection closer is triggered. A hold-open system is comprised of at last one trigger mechanism, one fire detector, one hold-open device and one power supply.

Hold-open unit

Synonym: hold-open device

A hold-open device is one component of the hold-open system. This device enables a self-closing fire/smoke protection door to remain open either at a defined or at a selected angle until it is electrically triggered.

Fire protection closer

A fire protection closure is a door, a gate or a flap that serves to close off a room and at the same time, to prevent the fire from spreading.

Fire protection door

Synonym: fire-retardant door

A fire protection door that functions as a fire protection closure to prevent fire from spreading. In some cases, this door may also be smoke proof.

Slimline fanlight opener

A slimline fanlight opener is a fitting used to open and close fanlights. The scissors are activated by a draw bar and the operating force is directed across various mechanical connections. Slimline fanlight opener refers to a fanlight opening system with an extremely flat design. The flat design of the scissors and of the rod assembly call for a minimal amount of space above and alongside the window leaf.

Strike plate

Flat strike plates can be used in a wide variety of situations. They are used for wood and steel frames, as well as for plastic frames and aluminium masking frames.

Flexible opening restrictor

With flexible opening restrictors, the opening restriction in the guide rail is not fixed but rather flexible. This allows for a damping effect to occur while also preventing the door from opening any further.

Emergency exit

Emergency exits are doors found along escape and rescue routes.

Escape route

Escape routes in a building allow for occupants to leave a building quickly and safely in the event of an emergency or a panic situation, e.g. a fire.

Free swing function

The free swing function on door closers allows for a door to be used with little resistance in the direction of opening or closing, if it has been previously opened ( e.g in the morning) up to a pre-defined opening angle. At the same time, however, the door closer closes the door in a controlled manner as soon as the power supply is interrupted. This makes it possible to comply with all fire safety measures while also ensuring that the door remains barrier-free.

Free swing door closer

Free swing door closers are door closers fitted with a free swing function.

Wireless programme

The GEZE wireless programme refers to all remote controls available for automatic doors that allow the door to be wirelessly operated via a remote control.

Active leaf

Synonym: main leaf

In the case of door systems with multiple leaves, the leaf that is opened first and closed last is referred to as the active leaf (also: the main leaf). This leaf generally also contains the lock.

all-glass system

An all-glass system (GGS) refers to constructions where a door, a fixed panel or a fanlight - each comprised of a single pane of glass - only has a frame at the top or the bottom but not at the sides.

GCprofile Therm

Thermally separated profile system in fine-framed design for a sophisticated appearance. For installation situations where special emphasis is placed on high energy efficiency, i.e. the lowest possible heat loss in winter or cold loss in summer. This profile system is also used when there are increased requirements for the tightness of the sliding door system. It is particularly suitable for exterior doors that are exposed to weather conditions and for interior doors that have to meet increased demands for sound insulation.

Building automation

Building automation (GA) comprises the monitoring equipment, control technology and optimisation equipment in a building. This allows all functional processes in the building to be operated automatically in accordance with pre-defined parameters or it serves to simplify operations and monitoring. All of the technical units in a building are networked with each other for this purpose.

Building automation control system

A building management system (GLT) refers to software used for monitoring and controlling buildings. Building management systems comprise supply networks inside the building that are used as functional networks for executing various building automation system tasks.

Building management

Building management refers to all services aimed at the holistic operation and management of buildings, as well as to the associated physical and technical equipment.

Building management system

A building management system (GMS) is a computerised system that controls the systems found in a building, e.g. danger notification systems or communication equipment, and simplifies their operation and management.

Building safety

The term building safety refers, on the one hand, to the safety of a building and its occupants in the event of fire or panic. At the same time, it also encompasses the protection of the overall building or a certain area of the building against break-ins by unauthorised individuals.

building system

The GEZE building system is a building technology management system that optimally fulfils the high demands for buildings with special safety needs. It enables GEZE system solutions for doors, windows and security technology sectors to be integrated into the building safety and control system.

Link arm

The link arm is a fixed counterpart to the door closer, which is attached to the other part of the door. If the closer is attached to the frame, the link arm is attached to the door leaf, or vice versa. When the door is opened, both levers of the link arm move across the pivot point.

Glass façade

Glass façades are façades that are mainly comprised of glass. For example, they are often found at the outer shell of large, prestigious buildings or on storefronts with sliding glass walls.

Glass fittings are special clamp fittings for glass doors.

Glass systems

At GEZE, glass systems is a general term for integrated all-glass systems, all-glass systems and manual sliding wall systems.

Guide rail

The guide rail is a fixed counterpart to the door closer, which is attached to the other part of the door. If the closer is attached to the frame, the guide rail is attached to the door leaf, or vice versa. When the door is opened, a sliding block moves along the rail.

Green building

Green building is a term from the area of sustainable construction. It describes buildings constructed with an eye to the aspect of sustainability. If certain criteria related to the efficient use of energy, water and other resources, to healthy workplace conditions and to the reduction of waste and environmental contamination are satisfied, such buildings may receive a so-called LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Hold-open magnet

Synonyms: hold-open magnet, electrical hold-open magnet

Hold-open magnets are hold-open devices designed to keep fire protection doors open. They are not integrated into the guide rail. They are mounted on the door leaf. There is a magnetic attraction between them and the magnetic counter plate, which allows the door to be held open

Magnetic counter plate

The magnetic counter plate is the counterpart of the hold-open magnet. It is installed opposite to the magnet. There is a magnetic attraction between the hold-open magnet and the magnetic counter plate, which allows the door to be held open.

Holding magnet

A holding magnet is a component that holds fire protection doors in emergency exit systems closed.

Main closing edge

The main closing edge (HSK) is the edge of a door or window located opposite the door stop. As such, it is also opposite the secondary closing edge.

Front door pack

The GEZE front door pack is a barrier-free access solution for front doors to private homes and to apartment buildings. It comprises an automatic swing door drive, an access control system, a multiple point locking mechanism and all of the necessary cable harnesses and cable ducts.

Integrated closing sequence control

The integrated closing sequence control (ISM) ensures the correct closing sequence for double-leaf doors. The active leaf remains in its waiting position while the passive leaf closes. The active leaf is then released according to the closing sequence, allowing it to also close.

Integrated door closer

Integrated door closers are installed directly into the door leaf, meaning that the guide rail is only visible when the door is being opened.

Integrated all-glass system

Synonyms: integrated profile glass system

With integrated all-glass systems (IGG), the profile system is integrated between at least two glass panes so that its vertical and horizontal components remain out of sight.

ISO glass

Synonym: ISO glass

ISO glass is the abbreviation for insulation glass. ISO glass refers to glass comprised of multiple overlaid panes that offers superior heat insulation (multiple glazing). ISO glass has become a standard norm within residential building construction.

I.S.T. Kingfix

The I.S.T. Kingfix lock latch guide provides additional benefits for more stringent demands regarding thermal insulation and sound proofing. The dimension of the I.S.T. Kingfix lock latch guide, 12 mm from the strike plate screw-points to the upper edge of the cover, is compatible with the dimensions of electric strikes that are commonly available on the market. Strike plates based on the dimensions mentioned above can continue to be used without the need for any alterations. The A4000 I.S.T. Kingfix can be retrofitted an existing doors using these strike plates without any difficulties.

Revolving door

Synonyms: rotating door, RD

The term revolving door refers to swing doors with at least two leaves that are attached to a turnstile at the top and at the bottom. Revolving doors are closed off at the top using either a ceiling ring or a ceiling rail, and on the sides using a drum.
Revolving doors do not require the installation of a draught proofing system.

Chain drive

Synonym: electric chain drive

A chain drive is a drive used to open and close windows. Chain drives use a chain that is moved by a motor and gears.

Climate-active façade

Climate active façades are façades that automatically adjust themselves to various weather conditions.

KNX

KNX is a bus system that brings together various building functions, e.g. fire and smoke detectors, ventilation and air conditioning, and also networks many applications and disciplines.

contact lock

A mechanical contact lock unifies the features of mechanical panic locks and lever locks. On the inside of the door a contact lock is equipped with a handle and on the outside, with a door knob. It allows emergency exit doors that are secured by an emergency exit system to be released from the outside with one closing process, dispensing with the need for an additional key switch.

Controlled ventilation

Controlled ventilation refers to the execution of regular exchanges of air throughout a building that has an airtight building envelope. This can be carried out using a ventilation system or a ventilation unit integrated into the windows.

Transom installation

Transom installation refers to the installation of the door closer onto the door frame and the installation of the guide rail or link arm onto the door leaf.

cranked turn-and-tilt fitting

Cranked turn-and-tilt fittings serve to activate a tilt-and-turn window. This is done using a crank that transfers the activation force through a gear onto an internal link arm. This allows for variable adjustment of the window leaf to the tilted position. Cranked turn-and-tilt fittings are especially well suited for large and heavy windows.

At GEZE, retail primarily refers to the design of shopfronts and store façades.

Laser scanner

A laser scanner is a sensor that serves the function of securing automatic swing doors using laser technology.

Reveal

Synonym: reveal

Reveals are vertical cut surfaces in a wall. It constitutes the interior wall surfaces of the opening used for door and door openings.

Photoelectric barrier

A photoelectric barrier is an optoelectronic system comprising one or more beams of light. If one of these beams of light is broken, the system recognises the obstruction that has caused this and emits an electrical signal. Photoelectric barriers are used for the non-contact recognition of moving objects.

Light curtain

An active infrared light curtain is comprised of multiple spotlights. They emit beams of light towards the floor that are reflected back. If a beam of light is broken by an object or a person, this is registered, triggering a pre-defined reaction from the door e.g. door opens. Active infrared light curtains serve to secure automatic swing and sliding doors.

linear sliding door

In a linear sliding door, the door leaves slide straight along a horizontal line, as opposed to corner sliding doors and curved sliding doors.

Ventilation

Synonym: ventilation and venting

Ventilation refers to the targeted opening of windows to allow for the inside air to be exchanged with fresh air from outside. Manual ventilation refers to systems in which the windows are opened by hand, whereas automatic ventilation refers to systems operated by electrical drives.

Ventilation technology

Ventilation technology encompasses all solutions aimed at the manual or automatic opening and closing of windows that serve to ventilate the rooms of a building.

Manual ventilation systems

Manual ventilation systems are systems in which the windows are opened manually rather than automatically, e.g. fanlight opening systems or cranked turn and tilt fittings.

Manual sliding wall system

Synonym: MSW

A manual sliding wall system comprises several door leaves that can be slid open. They consist of a main axis, along which the leaves are moved and a stacking area, where they are stored when the system is open.

Mechanical hold-open device

A mechanical hold-open device is the general term for the mechanical hold-open device and hold-open linkage components.

Carry bar

On double-leaf full panic doors, it is possible that the passive leaf may be opened before the active leaf. For such cases, a carry bar ensures that the active leaf is opened far enough so that it reaches the waiting position of the door closing sequence control. This allows both of the door leaves to be closed in the proper sequence.

Modular fixed panel profile

Synonym: fixed panel profile system

The modular fixed panel profile is a component of the glass fittings on the glass clamp fitting. It allows all-glass walls to be erected for the vertical and horizontal edging of ESG panes with a glass thickness of 8, 10 and 12 mm.

Motor lock

A motor lock is a lock that locks and unlocks using an electric motor.

night-time cooling

Night-time back cooling is a thermal function on a façade. With this system, warm inside air is guided to the outside through electrically controlled windows during the cooler morning and night hours, allowing cool air to enter the building. This type of ventilation plays an especially important role in office buildings.

Natural ventilation

Synonym: free ventilation

Natural ventilation refers to the utilisation of natural pressure gradients generated by wind and/or temperature differences between the outside and inside air, for ventilation purposes. This approach does not deploy any power-operated fans.

Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation device

Synonym: NRWG

Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation devices (NRWG) ensure that smoke and gases are directed out of the building in the event of a fire. These regulated building products always include a window, along with its associated components, the infill and the drive system, along with its associated components.

Secondary closing edge

The secondary closing edge (NSK) is the edge of a door or a window to which the door or window is attached.

Smoke and heat extraction control panel

Synonym: emergency power supply unit

A smoke and heat extraction control panel is an electrical device that provides the complete power supply in the event of a power failure.

Overhead door closer

Synonyms: ODC, overhead door closer

An overhead door closer is a door closer attached to the upper door rebate.

Fanlight

A fanlight refers to a window in the ceiling of a room with a flat or a slightly pitched roof. They are often installed in large spaces or halls and are used in rooms with no external walls in which normal windows cannot be used. The primary function of a fanlight is to ventilate the room.

Fanlight openers

Synonym: fanlight scissors

A fanlight opener is a fitting that serves to open and close fanlights. It has scissors and a draw bar. The fanlight is moved using the scissors, which in turn, are moved through the draw bar.

Opening restrictor

Synonym: opening restrictor

The opening restrictor is a component installed into the guide rail of door closers that serves to keep a door at a certain angle. If the sliding block comes into contact with the opening restrictor when the door is opened, the door will not open any further. The door remains open in this position for doors with a hold-open function and it closes once again for doors without a hold-open function.

Back check

A back check is a damper that can be installed in a door closer to absorb the swing of an opening door. It prevents the door from being thrown open too far, protecting any people, door elements, adjacent walls or objects located behind the door.

Opening systems

An opening system encompasses all of the components used to open a window.

Panic lock

A panic lock is a device that locks the door but allows for the door to be opened outwards from within at any time. In the event of danger or in panic situations, occupants can escape through this door unimpeded.

Panic bar

A panic bar is a horizontal touch bar that runs across the entire door leaf. In the event of panic situations, e.g. when a mass of people are pushing against the door, it can be activated simply by pushing against it.

Panic door

A panic door is a door that remains closed under normal circumstances to prevent unauthorised individuals from entering the building. In the event of a panic situation, it can be opened by people seeking to escape, without the need for previous instruction. This door functions as an emergency exit.

Double-action door

Double-action doors are self-closing doors that swing in both directions within their frame and open at least 90°.

Presence detector

A presence detector is a non-contact security sensor. It recognises the presence of people or objects within the movement area of the door and causes the door to either stop or to reverse its movement.

Radar

Radar (radio detection and ranging) is a term that refers to the various recognition and locating procedures and devices based on electro-magnetic waves in the radio frequency range (radio waves). At GEZE, the functional principle of radar is used in the area of movement detectors.

Radar movement detector

A radar movement detector is a movement detector that functions on the basis of radar technology. It serves to activate automatic doors.

Smoke and heat extraction system

Synonym: RWA

A smoke and heat extraction system provides preventive fire protection by ensuring that smoke is directed out of the building as quickly as possible in the event of a fire. A complete RWA comprises individual smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (RWG), release devices, control elements, a power supply, cables and a fresh air supply.

Smoke detector

Smoke detectors are devices that can recognise smoke through the presence of combustion products in the air, for example, and trigger an alarm.

Smoke switch control unit

A smoke switch control unit is a device that provides early detection of fire and smoke and supplies power to the closed hold-open devices. In the event of a fire, it recognises fire and smoke, and interrupts the supply of power to the hold-open device.

Smoke protection closer

A smoke protection closer is a door, a gate, or a flap that serves to close off a room and at the same time prevents smoke from spreading.

Smoke protection door

A smoke protection door is a self-closing door, which, when installed and closed, acts as smoke protection closer to prevent smoke from getting through.

Partitioning

Synonym: partitioning

Partitioning means that a larger room is subdivided into smaller rooms with the assistance of sliding walls or glass systems. The design of the subdivision can be either fixed or variable.

Indoor climate control

Synonym: indoor climate control

Indoor climate control is the option of intelligently controlling the ventilation in a building. Depending on the temperature, humidity and air quality, windows are automatically opened or closed in accordance with pre-defined ventilation scenarios.
Indoor climate control can also be used in connection with an RWA control panel so that ventilation and smoke extraction are combined. In the event of a fire, the RWA control panel takes over and moves the windows into the desired secure position.

RC2

RC is an abbreviation for Resistance Class. The Resistance Class indicates how long a product will hold up against a certain type of attacker attempting to break in. RC2 means that a component will prevent an opportunist perpetrator who is attempting to break open the closed and locked component using simple tools, such as a screwdriver, pliers and a wedge, for 3 minutes.

Rescue route

Escape routes in a building provide an emergency exit path so that occupants can quickly and safely exit a building in the event of an emergency or in a panic situation, e.g. during a fire). Additionally, they are also designed to facilitate the rescue of occupants.

Tubular-framed door

Synonym: profile door, framed moving leaf

A tubular-framed door is a door in which the outer frame of the door leaf has a profile and the inside has a filling. The filling can be made of any material, such as glass, wood, etc. On a tubular-framed door, the lock is integrated into the profile rather than into the filling.

Roller sliding fitting

A roller sliding fitting is a sliding fitting based on a track and a roller carriage. The movement of the door fitting is carried out via the rollers, which also support the weight of the door.

Feedback contact (also: switch contact)

The feedback contact is an optional contact on the electric strike for determining and transmitting the door status (open/closed). It identifies contact between the electric strike and the lock latch. No difference is made between locked and unlocked.

Fail-safe

When power is removed, a fail-safe electric strike is unlocked and in long-term operation, it is locked. In the event of a power failure, the electric strike unlocks and releases the corresponding lock latch. The counterpart to the fail-safe is fail-secure operation.

Passive leaf

On doors with multiple leaves, the leaf that can remain closed while the active leaf is moved, is referred to as the passive or the optional leaf. If the passive leaf is opened, this always only occurs after the active leaf has been opened. When closing, the passive leaf must be closed first.

Rod locking mechanism

Rod locking is used to lock automatic sliding doors. In such a case, a locking bolt is integrated into the fine-framed ISO profile system. If the door is locked, the rod is lowered into the floor.

A lintel refers to the cover of a wall opening, which can either be designed horizontally or with a horizontal bottom view.

Lintel-mounted detector is the general term for all detectors, smoke detector, thermal detectors, etc., that are attached to the lintel.

Telescopic door

Telescopic sliding doors are doors in which the leaves are guided along parallel tracks. This means the space on the side needed to open the door leaves can be smaller than the opening width of the door, thereby saving space.

Thermal detector

Thermal detectors trigger an alarm when a certain maximum temperature is exceeded or when there is a rapid temperature increase.

Thermally separated profile system

A thermally separated profile system is a profile system in which the inner and outer aluminium profiles are separated by a plastic bar. Since the plastic has a lower thermal conductivity than the aluminium, it experiences less heat loss and achieves better energy efficiency.

A partition system is comprised of sliding wall panels with which a room can flexibly be subdivided.

T-stop guide rail

The T-stop guide rail is a guide rail with flexible opening restriction. It contains a damping material that the sliding block pushes against during opening, damping the door opening process. This guide rail makes floor mounted door stoppers redundant.
